Chapter 02In detail
Who processes what — and for how long.

When you fill in the form
On submission your entries go to a form service that receives the enquiry and forwards it to me as a message. It acts as a processor and does not use the data for its own purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract).
What is transmitted is exactly what stands in the form: name, contact route, chosen service, language direction, type of document, preferred date, place and your free text — plus, technically, the domain of this site and the time of submission, in order to detect automated spam. I use the details solely to reply to you and to carry out the assignment.
If that is more than you want: a call, an e-mail or WhatsApp lead to the same result and do without this intermediate step.

Your documents
Photos, scans and certificates you send me are processed only for the translation you commissioned. They are not passed on to third parties and are not used for training purposes.
They are kept for as long as the assignment and the statutory retention periods require. After that they are deleted. You can also ask for copies to be deleted earlier, as far as no retention period stands in the way.

Confidentiality
As a generally sworn translator I am bound by a duty of confidentiality. What is said at an appointment and what is written in your documents stays between us — independently of data protection law and beyond the end of the assignment.

When you visit this site
This site sets no cookies for advertising or analytics purposes and embeds no tracking services. When the site is retrieved, your browser transmits technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested file, browser type), which the hosting provider processes briefly in server logs — legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure operation).
Fonts are served locally. There are no embedded maps, videos or social media elements that send data to third parties when the page loads.

Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. An informal message to the address given above is enough.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in Bavaria the competent body is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision.
To be added before going live: the name and registered office of the hosting provider and of the form delivery service, the respective data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR, and the retention period for the server logs.
